BY BUS
Buses leave from Moncloa Bus Station in Madrid and arrive at the stop near the Monasterio de El Escorial. From there, walk down Avda. Reyes Católicos for 500 meters. The Residencia is on a sharp bend at the intersection of Avda. Reyes Católicos and Avda. Felipe II.
The bus also stops (if requested) at the two stops marked on the map. You can find the bus schedule from Madrid to El Escorial here. Buses running on Sundays are marked as DIARIO or DOMINGOS Y FESTIVOS.
BY CAR
Take highway A6 (Madrid – A Coruña). Take exit number 47 (El Escorial) and follow this road for approximately 8 km. Cross San Lorenzo de El Escorial and when you see the monastery, turn left.
BY TAXI
A taxi from Barajas Airport costs approximately 70€–90€, depending on the time of day. The ride lasts about 50–70 minutes depending on traffic. There are extra charges for Sundays, holidays, nighttime rides, luggage, airport pickup, and train station pickup.
Official taxis must display a fare label in the rear windows and a meter next to the dashboard. The meter must be turned on as soon as the ride begins. We recommend avoiding taxis without visible fare stickers or without meters, as these are often unofficial and may charge more.
